Thank you for choosing the Powrlink. This manual walks you through everything from unboxing to advanced analytics - take a few minutes to read it before your first training session.
What it does
Measures pulling forces in real time - 300 kg per sensor - and streams them via Bluetooth to the Powrlink app. Pair two sensors to double the capacity or to track left/right sides separately.
How you use it
Attach to a compatible aerobis fitness device, open the app, and start a workout. Every rep is logged automatically.

Compatible resistance tools
Connect the Powrlink between a stable anchor point and one of the tools above. The sensor measures the tension flowing through it in real time.
Optional add-ons
Two official aerobis accessories extend what the Powrlink can measure. Both mount to the shackle plate and fit Powrlink Light and Powrlink - the shackle-plate geometry is shared across both generations.
Powrlink-Pusher
The Powrlink load cell registers force in both directions - pulling reads as a positive value, pushing as a negative one. Hardware-wise it does this out of the box. In day-to-day use, however, there's no practical way to apply a controlled pushing load directly to the shackle plate, which is why the Powrlink-Pusher exists: it's the accessory that actually makes negative-value measurements useful.
The Pusher is a small bolt-on kit - a hand grip (T-shaped bar) on one end, a rounded knob on the other, plus stainless-steel bolts, lock-nuts and rubber end caps. Once fitted, you hold the device by the grip and press the knob against a body part or surface. A typical use is physiotherapy: push the knob against a patient's arm or leg and read the counterforce they produce as a negative value in the app.
When a Pusher is used, pushing motions appear as negative force values in the chart - shown as red-shaded regions. The CSV export includes these as negative numbers in the Device 1 / Device 2 columns.

Powrlink Grip Strength Frame
The Powrlink Grip Strength Frame is a rigid metal frame with two handles that clips onto the Powrlink. Squeeze the handles together and the sensor records your grip strength in real time - ideal for rehab tracking, hand-therapy assessments, and general strength diagnostics.

Your anchor point and holding structure must support a tensile load of at least 500 kg (1,100 lbs) for the Powrlink. Never attach to doors, railings, or decorative hardware.

The Powrlink ships ready to use - a single flat metal shackle plate runs through the housing, protruding on both sides with a carabiner hole on each end. You only need a carabiner or quick-link to clip it into your anchor on one side and your resistance tool on the other. Additional aerobis accessories are sold separately.
Safety - Please Read
Strength training with heavy resistance can cause injury if equipment is misused. Follow these rules without exception.
The Powrlink and all connected equipment are for adults aged 21 and older. Individuals under 21 must not use or access the device under any circumstances.
Before your first session
- Consult a doctor, therapist, or trainer if you are unsure whether strength training is safe for you.
- Start with low resistance. Each sensor can measure up to 300 kg - that is not your starting weight.
- Have a training partner (also 21+) present, especially when working with heavy loads.
Every training session
- Inspect the Powrlink, straps, and anchors. Look for wear, fraying, or deformation before connecting any load.
- Ensure at least 3 m (120 in) of clear space around you in every direction.
- Only mount the device to anchors rated for ≥ 500 kg (1,100 lbs) of tensile load.
- Keep liquids and loose hair/clothing away from moving straps and sleds.
Use only as intended
The Powrlink is for fitness strength testing with compatible aerobis accessories. Do not use it as a lifting rigging component, fall protection, or on devices it was not designed for.
First-Time Setup
Four steps from unboxing to your first reading.
- Charge the device
Plug the included USB-C cable into the port on the side edge of the Powrlink and a 5 V USB power source. A full charge takes about 2 hours.
- Mount to a secure anchor
Clip a carabiner through one end of the shackle plate and attach it to a rated ceiling anchor, wall anchor, or rack (≥ 500 kg tensile load).
- Attach your resistance tool
Clip your aeroSling, revvll, Pain Train, or Powerband to the other end of the shackle plate.
- Power on & connect
Press ON/OFF briefly. The display lights up in kg. Open the Powrlink app and it will find the device automatically.

Tap UNIT to cycle. The selected unit is remembered after power-off.
Realtime vs Peak Mode
The Powrlink has two measurement modes. Hold TARE for 3 seconds to toggle between them.
Live weight updates every 250 ms. Negative values are supported.
Realtime Mode
The default mode. Shows the real-time force acting on the device, updating every 250 ms. Use this for normal training, biofeedback, and live visualization in the app.
Peak Mode
Shows only the maximum value measured since you entered the mode. Negative values are ignored. Use this for one-rep max (1RM) tests, isometric pulls, or any "how hard can I push?" measurement.
Battery & Charging
Battery indicator
The top-left glyph on the LCD shows charge in three discrete bars, then flashes near empty.
Charging
Connect the USB-C cable to a 5 V source (phone charger, laptop, power bank). A full charge takes roughly 2 hours. The battery icon updates every 30 s during charging.
Example: 72% charged
Higher voltages can damage the cell. Never use fast-charge USB-PD bricks that negotiate above 5 V for unsupported devices.
Replacing the battery
The Powrlink uses a user-replaceable lithium-ion pack connected via a keyed Molex plug. The battery sits behind a screw-on cover on the back of the device - four corner screws hold it in place.

- Power off completely
Hold ON/OFF for 2 s and disconnect from USB.
- Open the battery compartment
Unscrew the cover on the back of the device. Lift gently.
- Unplug the old battery
Grasp the Molex plug (not the wires) and pull straight out.
- Insert the new battery
The plug is keyed against reverse polarity - it only fits one way and clicks into place.
- Close and fully charge
Refit the cover hand-tight. Fully charge before first use.
Use only original aerobis replacement packs. Never puncture, bend, or short-circuit the cell. If the battery is swollen or damaged, remove it from service and dispose of it at an electronics waste collection point.
Install the App & Pair Your Device
The Powrlink app is available for iOS and Android. You'll need it to record workouts and analyze your data.
1 · Install
Download the Powrlink app from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code on the Quick-Start Card.
2 · Pair
- Power on the Powrlink - the LCD lights up and shows 0.0.
- Open the app and, on first launch, register a free account. Then log in.
- Tap the No Device Connected button to start scanning for nearby Powrlinks.
- Alternatively, open the BLE menu by tapping one of the + icons in the lower half of the screen, or the ∞ connection icon in the top-left.
- The app scans for devices broadcasting the BLE name POWRLINK. Select yours from the list.
- Once connected, the app shows the live force reading in real time.
Connecting two devices
For bilateral exercises (e.g. split-stance rows, single-arm pulls), you can pair a second Powrlink simultaneously. The app shows both readings side by side - the first device in blue, the second in white.
Your First Workout
From the app's home screen, tap Workout at the bottom. If no device is connected you'll see a No Device Connected button - power on your Powrlink, then tap the button to scan via BLE. The sensor appears in the list within a few seconds.
- Connect at least one sensor
Power on the Powrlink. In the app, tap No Device Connected, or use a + icon in the lower half of the screen, or the ∞ connection icon in the top-left to open the BLE menu and pair the sensor.
- Tap Start Workout
With at least one sensor connected, the Start button becomes active. Tap it - the app immediately places a marker at E1-S1 (Exercise 1, Set 1) and the timer starts running.
- Tare if needed
If your resistance tool hangs with some residual load, tap Tare in the app before your first rep to zero the reading.
- Perform your reps
The app counts reps automatically from the force peaks. No need to tap anything during the set.
During a set, the live view shows:
- Force curve for sensor 1 (blue) and sensor 2 (white) - updating every 250 ms
- Live readouts: Duration, Best rep (kg), total Workload
- Two rep counters - one per sensor
- If the Powrlink-Pusher add-on is connected, pushing (negative) forces appear as red-shaded regions on the curve
The force curve updates every 250 ms - fast enough to coach form in real time.
Powrlink workouts are structured as Exercise → Set. Markers appear in your force curve as labels like E1-S2 (Exercise 1, Set 2). This structure is what makes the History Detail view and the CSV export useful - you can analyze individual sets, individual exercises, or compare across a whole session.
Three blue buttons sit in the footer of the Workout screen during an active session:
- Next Set - closes the current set and opens a new set within the same exercise. Marker becomes E1-S2, E1-S3, etc.
- Next Exercise - closes the current set and starts a new exercise. Marker becomes E2-S1, E3-S1, etc.
- Finish Workout - ends and saves the session to History.
You don't have to use these - you can record one continuous set if you prefer. But structuring your session with markers lets you drill down into each set later.
When you're done, tap Finish Workout in the blue button footer. The session is saved automatically to History.
From History you can review the full force curve, rename the session, re-analyze it set-by-set, export it as a CSV, or delete it at any time.
Analyze Your Data
Every saved session opens into a full analysis view. Below is an example from a real workout recording (2026-03-25 · 4 sets · 2 exercises · 117.8 kg workload).

Workout History & Export
Every session is saved locally on your phone. The History tab shows them chronologically with a small preview of total workload and structure.

- Tap any entry to open the full analysis.
- Swipe left on an entry to delete.
- Long-press to rename (e.g. "Leg Day A").
Export as CSV
From an open session tap the ↑ share icon (top right) to export. You get a CSV with timestamps, force readings for each device, acceleration, and markers. Open it in Excel, Numbers, or your favorite analytics tool.

Each row is a 250 ms sample. The Marker column contains set/exercise boundaries: E1-S1, E1-S2, E2-S1, etc.
Settings & Language
Open the ⚙️ icon in the top-right of the Workout screen to access Settings.

Changing the language
The Powrlink app follows your phone's language preference - there is no language picker inside the app itself. To use the app in a different language, change the per-app language setting in your operating system.
iOS
- Open Settings
The system Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll to Powrlink
Apps are listed alphabetically near the bottom of Settings.
- Tap Language
Pick any language supported by the app. iOS will reload Powrlink in that language.
Android
- Open Settings
Go to the system Settings app.
- Apps → Powrlink
Tap Apps (or Applications), then find and open Powrlink.
- Tap Language
Choose a language from the available options. The app will relaunch in that language.
If you don't see a language option for Powrlink, the app will simply fall back to your system-wide language. Supported languages include English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español, Português, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk, Svenska, Polski, 日本語, 简体中文 and more.
Calibration
Your Powrlink is calibrated at the factory and rarely needs recalibration. If you notice drift or inconsistent readings after long use, you can recalibrate using two known reference weights.
Calibration requires a certified 100 kg weight and a 300 kg weight. Do not attempt calibration without these - you will make the device less accurate, not more.
- Enter calibration mode
From the power-off state, hold UNIT + ON/OFF together until the display shows calibration prompts.
- Apply 100 kg
Hang a certified 100 kg weight from the lower end of the shackle plate. Wait for the display to stabilize, then confirm.
- Apply 300 kg
Switch to a 300 kg reference and confirm when the value stabilizes.
- Done
The device automatically returns to Realtime Mode. New readings now use your fresh calibration.
If you need to abort, hold ON/OFF for 2 seconds or simply wait 5 minutes - calibration mode auto-exits on inactivity.

Reset procedures
BLE reset
Hold ON/OFF for 6 seconds. The Bluetooth module restarts. Retry pairing from the app.
Tare reset
If readings are off but the device is still responsive, press TARE briefly to zero the scale. If that fails, run a calibration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the Powrlink with two accounts?
The device itself isn't tied to an account - it only streams force data. Anyone with the Powrlink app can pair with it. User accounts exist in the app for syncing workouts across your own devices.
How long does the battery last?
Roughly 20 hours of continuous active use with BLE streaming. In practice, most users charge it once every few weeks.
Is the device water resistant?
It's splash resistant (sweat is fine), but don't submerge it or train in heavy rain. If the device gets wet, wipe it dry and wait before charging via USB-C.
How do I reach 600 kg capacity?
Each Powrlink sensor has a 300 kg maximum. To reach 600 kg you pair two sensors with the app at the same time - the app sums their readings (or shows them side by side, depending on your exercise setup). This also enables bilateral training where left and right sides are measured independently.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Recording, viewing history, and analyzing data all work without an internet connection. You only need the internet for firmware updates and optional cloud sync.
Can I connect more than two Powrlink devices at once?
The app currently supports up to two devices per workout (for left/right or dual-anchor setups). Multi-device team scenarios are on our roadmap.
What does "Workload" mean exactly?
Workload is the sum of force × displacement approximations across all reps in the session, expressed in kg. It is a good proxy for total training volume.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, as long as temperature and moisture are within the operating range. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods - the LCD can fade temporarily in very strong sun.
